" There is no magic behind the various rules of filmmaking- just a set of principles that are a result of a hundred years of trial and error on the part of filmmakers attempting to communicate with their audience. No rules are sacred - there are absolutely no rules that cannot be broken. But you'd better know what you are doing and why. Breaking rules because they limit you is one thing; breaking rules because you have no idea of structure is something entirely different.

Short film about Nick, a man with a supernatural ability, who encounters Mia, a woman with the same ability. For better and for worse, Mia helps him to understand his power.

Solipsist is an experimental film for the web generation, both its theme and appeal. Philosophical depths reveal themselves upon inspection, but the film’s surface pleasures are more accessible and immediately apparent: abundant, trippy effects, an engaging score and so much color! Its lush visual landscape is the immediate draw, and though the 10 minutes race by as you sit transfixed, the indelible images linger, affirming this as a product of a truly gifted and confident filmmaker. by JASON SONDHI read the full review at https://www.shortoftheweek.com/2012/03/05/solipsist/
